SUP at Rueter-Hess Reservoir

Ready to go out on the water in style? When you join us for some stand-up paddleboarding at Rueter-Hess Reservoir we bring the gear and the fun to you!

In addition to the paddle board, paddle, personal flotation device, and ankle leash, we also provide a brief instruction on the shore for beginners!

All participants are REQUIRED to wear the provided personal flotation device and board leash while on the water. Currently, the Rueter-Hess Recreation Authority prohibits swimming from shore, pets or bringing in personal equipment.

Guests are required to stay on main access road and exit the park immediately after the service has concluded. PLEASE BRING A WATCH.

UPDATE: As of June 25, 2020, Rueter-Hess Reservoir is experiencing a blue/green algae bloom LEVEL 1-CAUTION.

Currently, Algal blooms are present throughout many bodies of water in Colorado. The level of algal bloom at Rueter-Hess Reservoir is far below any limits for alarm. While recreational paddling is still permitted, we recommend avoiding algal bloom areas in the water.

According to Colorado State’s website https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/cdphe/harmful-algae-blooms, a LEVEL 1 Algal Bloom is a CAUTION.  Please refer to this website for more information regarding algal bloom exposure.

Colorado SUP Sports will notify customers and cancel operations if/when Rueter-Hess Reservoir reaches LEVEL 2-DANGER.
